Everything you need to know about buying and selling on GameTrading.

How does escrow payment work?

When you buy an item, your payment is held securely by Stripe (our payment processor). The seller does not receive the money until you confirm receipt of the item. If you don't confirm within 7 days, the order auto-completes. This protects both buyers and sellers.

How do I buy an item?

1. Browse listings or search for what you want.

2. Click "Buy Now" on the listing.

3. Complete payment — your funds are held in escrow.

4. Wait for the seller to deliver the item.

5. Confirm receipt once you have the item.

That's it! If anything goes wrong, you can raise a dispute.

How do I sell an item?

1. Go to My Listings → click "Sell an Item".

2. Fill in the title, description, price, game, and images.

3. Publish your listing — it's instantly visible to buyers.

4. When someone buys, you'll be notified to deliver the item.

5. After the buyer confirms receipt, funds are released to you.

What is the commission fee?

GameTrading charges a small commission on each completed sale to cover platform operations, payment processing, and dispute support. The exact rate depends on the game category and transaction volume. You can always see the commission breakdown before publishing a listing.

Can I extend the confirmation period?

Yes. Buyers can extend the confirmation period once by 3 days (from 7 to 10 days total). This is useful if the seller needs more time to deliver, or if you need more time to verify the item.

How do disputes work?

If there's an issue with your order (item not received, item not as described, etc.), you can raise a dispute from the order detail page. Our support team will review the evidence from both parties and make a fair decision. Disputes are typically resolved within 3-5 business days.
